Getting Started
This article will walk you through the necessary steps to set up your printer with our Wi-Fi dongle. This is a crucial step to ensure that your printer remains connected to the internet. Before getting started, please ensure you have access to the below tools:

Your Supplied Wi-Fi dongle
Ethernet Cord

Step 1: Connect Your Devices
Simply connect the printer via ethernet cable anywhere in the shop (this is just to capture the IP address) with the dongle plugged into the USB port of the printer.
Step 2: Identify Your Printer's IP Address
Turn on the Printer while pushing the feed button for about 5 seconds.
Two receipts will print - locate the IP address of the Printer shown on the second receipt.
Step 3: Access Printer Settings
Open your web browser on a desktop computer & enter the printer's IP address identified on the printout from the previous step into the web URL.
You should be directed to Star's settings page, as shown below.
To login, please use the following credentials:
Username: root Password: publicOn the left-hand navigation bar you'll see Wireless Connection - you'll be able to select your store network from here and input your password just like you would from any internet-enabled device.
When prompted whether you'd like to scan for available networks or manually add the network, select Scan.
Choose your preferred network, then type in the network password. Once that step has been completed, save and execute a reboot.
Note: The computer you are pulling up the printer back end on should be on the same network that you have plugged the printer into.
Step 4: Save and Reset Printer
Once this has been completed, press "Submit" at the bottom of the page to save changes & restart your printer. and you'll be good to go - the dongle will be paired.
Note: Once all of the following steps have been completed you are able to unplug your printer from the ethernet cable and move it anywhere in the store you would like as long as you stay connected to your store Wi-Fi network when you have completed your Wi-Fi Dongle Setup.
