Getting Started
This article will walk you through how to properly set up your Star Micronics Thermal Receipt Printer. Before getting started, please ensure you have access to the below tools:
Your printer.
Your supplied Ethernet cord.

Step 1: Plug in Instructions
Plug printer unit into a power source.
Plug in an ethernet cord into the printer ethernet port and into your modem/router.
Restart the printer with the following steps.Turn the printer OFF. Hold down the FEED button on the front of the printer and turn the printer back ON. Continue to hold the FEED button for 5 seconds and release.
Step 2: Identify Your Printer's IP Address
Turn on the Printer while pushing the feed button for about 5 seconds.
Two receipts will print - locate the IP address of the Printer shown on the second receipt:
Step 3: Access Printer Settings
Open you web browser on a desktop computer & enter the printer's IP address identified on the printout from the previous step into the web URL.
You should be directed to Star's settings page, as shown below.
To login, please use the following credentials: Username: root
Password: public
Step 4: Enable CloudPRNT Functionality
Once logged in, Select CloudPRNT from the left-hand navigation bar.
Toggle the first section, entitled CloudPRNT Services, to 'Enable'.
In the Server URL Field, please enter the corresponding Server URL sent to you by your Olla Onboarding Specialist. Your URL can also be found within the Settings page of your Olla Dashboard:
Note: It's imperative that you enter the URL exactly as shown in your onboarding email.
Step 5: Required For Greenbits Customers Only!
Select System Configuration within the left-side navigation panel.
Toggle #9100/9101 port to DISABLE
Step 6: Save & Restart Printer
Once the previous steps are complete, press "Submit" button below the CloudPRNT section of the page.
Select the Save -> Configuration Print option to save changes & restart your printer.
Your printer should now be setup to print online orders received through your Olla online store!
